Welcome! Welcome to the website of the West Bakersfield Optimist Club. We have been in service to this community since 2008, and we love it. Our main priority is the Unicorn Boys Home along with serving the schools of West Bakersfield. Our President is the James Minyard, who inspires us to reach new heights with each project.
The Childhood Wellness Campaign is focused on providing a means to prevention of diseases stemming from childhood obesity, to include, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Cardiovascular Diseases, Asthma, Childhood Cancer, and others.
